NEW PRODUCT: ALTECH® UL489 BUSBAR SYSTEM The new Altech® UL489 busbar system introduces a completely integrated package of busbars, miniature circuit breakers, and power feed devices and accessories in one engineered assembly achieving high electrical ratings. Users can realize up to 30% savings in installation time, optimized panel space, and significantly reduced need for maintenance. The system further serves as a universal solution by accommodating either the Altech L-series of miniature UL489 breakers or other popular UL489 miniature circuit breakers on the market. The system delivers the capability to jumper up to 52 poles of UL489 miniature circuit breakers and deliver electrical ratings up to 115A at 480VAC for optimized performance in a wide range of industrial applications. The standard system consists of UL489 miniature circuit breakers with the corresponding 1-, 2-, or 3-phase UL489 busbars and accessories. Available accessories include power feed lugs, modular direct power feeds, and insulation caps. Every pin configuration is possible with a combination of existing 6, 12, and 18 pins. Systems are CE certified and comply with all relevant industry standards. Custom designs can be developed to satisfy particular requirements. The UL489 system expands this product line for Altech, which is the only supplier offering additional universal systems for UL508 and UL1077 miniature circuit breakers.
